Privacy & Terms

Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Applies to useglance.ai and the Glance software

1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Who we are

“Glance”, “we”, “us” refers to the operator of the useglance.ai website and licensor of the Glance software. For any privacy matter, contact us via the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days.

1.2 The most important fact: Glance is self-hosted

The Glance software runs on your own infrastructure (or on a dedicated managed instance under Section 5). Your company’s data — employee profiles, meetings, transcripts, goals, metrics, financial figures — is stored on servers you control and is never transmitted to us. We operate no cloud service that receives, stores or processes your company data, and we have no technical means of accessing your self-hosted instance. For data protection purposes, your company remains the sole controller of the personal data processed inside your Glance instance; we are not a processor of that data.

AI features inside Glance send data only to the model provider that you configure (for example OpenAI or Google), under your own API agreement and keys, or to local models running on your own hardware — in which case no data leaves your servers at all.

1.3 What this website collects

1.4 Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply: we process request-form data on the basis of taking steps prior to entering a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); we process pseudonymous analytics on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving a low-traffic marketing site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No profiling or automated decision-making takes place.

1.5 Retention

1.6 Sharing and processors

We do not sell, rent or share personal data. The website runs on infrastructure provided by our hosting provider, which processes traffic on our behalf as any host does. If email delivery of form submissions is enabled, the submission is transmitted through our email provider. No other third parties receive your data.

1.7 Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, rectify, export or erase personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since the only readable personal data we hold is what you sent us through the form, the practical version is simple: write to us and we will show you what we have or delete it.

1.8 International visitors

The website may be served from infrastructure in various regions. By using it you understand that the limited data described above is processed where our infrastructure is located. Form data can be deleted on request regardless of where you are.

2. Terms of Service (website)

3. Software License

This section summarizes the standard license. The signed order form and license agreement you receive at purchase are the binding documents; if they differ from this page, they prevail.

3.1 Grant

Upon payment of the one-time license fee, we grant your company a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run, use and modify Glance, including its full source code, for internal business purposes — any number of your employees and contractors, on infrastructure you control.

3.2 What is included

3.3 Restrictions

3.4 Versions and upgrades

The license covers all 1.x versions. A future major version (2.0) would be offered as a discounted paid upgrade — optional, never forced. Your licensed version keeps working regardless; perpetual means perpetual.

4. Pilot Terms

5. Managed Hosting

6. Warranty & Liability

Glance is provided “as is”. We work in good faith to fix real problems quickly — that is what install help and the direct line are for — but to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the software or these terms shall not exceed the amounts you actually paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You are responsible for operating your own instance: backups, server security, access control and compliance with laws applicable to the data you process inside it. The FAQ and the deployment guide describe the recommended setup.

7. Contact

Questions about privacy, these terms, licensing or anything else: use the contact form — it reaches us directly. Security reports are prioritized and receive a same-week response.
